About Longines

Longines was founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, in the Swiss Jura, and has made watches there ever since. Its winged-hourglass logo was registered in 1889 and is still on every dial.

Part of the Swatch Group, Longines sits between entry-level Swiss watches and the luxury houses. Its strength is value: mechanical movements with long power reserves, classic designs and a large heritage catalogue drawn from its own archives.

Master Collection

Classic dress watches with moon phases, annual calendars and chronographs, known for their barleycorn-guilloché dials.

HydroConquest

The sports diver: 300 m water resistance, ceramic bezel options, sizes from 39 to 43 mm.

What to know before you buy

• Many Longines movements now have around 72 hours of power reserve: you can take the watch off on Friday and it still runs on Monday.
• Heritage models reissue specific historical references; the name usually tells you the year of the original.
• Compare sizes carefully: Longines often offers the same model in three or four diameters.
