About Nomos Glashütte

Nomos was founded in Glashütte in 1990, shortly after German reunification. Its watches are known for clean, Bauhaus-inspired dials and for in-house movements at prices well below most manufactures.

In 2014 Nomos introduced its own escapement, the swing system, which makes it one of the few independent brands producing this part in-house. Neomatik models use slim automatic movements.

The signature: a slim case, thin lugs and a classic Bauhaus dial.

A rounder, more elegant dress watch.

Sportier, with higher water resistance and bold dials.

Modern design with a power-reserve indicator on many models.

What to know before you buy

• "Neomatik" means a slim automatic movement; models without it are usually hand-wound.
• Many models come in 33 to 39 mm. Nomos watches wear larger than their size because of the long lugs and wide dials.
