About the Rolex Day-Date 36

The Day-Date, launched in 1956, was the first wristwatch to show the day of the week spelled out in full. It is made only in gold or platinum and is usually worn on the President bracelet; current 36 mm references (the 1282xx series) use the caliber 3255.
