Roger Dubuis is the most theatrical of the Geneva houses: skeleton movements shaped like stars, oversized tourbillons and bold sports watches, built to the standards of the Geneva Seal. We have 38 Roger Dubuis watches in stock, from $3,100 to $354,200.

A short history

The brand was founded in Geneva in 1995 by the watchmaker Roger Dubuis and the designer Carlos Dias. Its early collections, the Hommage, the square Sympathie and the Golden Square, were classical in style but made in small series with complicated movements.

Roger Dubuis became known for having its movements certified with the Poinçon de Genève, the Geneva Seal, which sets strict rules for finishing and origin. Later it moved towards bolder designs, with the Excalibur and its skeleton movements as the core of the brand. Roger Dubuis has been part of the Richemont group since 2008.

The main lines

Excalibur. The flagship: a round case with three-pronged lugs and a fluted bezel, and many skeleton and tourbillon versions, including models made with Lamborghini Squadra Corse. In stock: 11.

Hommage. The classic early collection, with a cushion-shaped case. In stock: 2.

Sympathie and Golden Square. Square and cushion-shaped watches from the brand's first decade.

Velvet. Roger Dubuis's ladies' line.

The Geneva Seal

The Poinçon de Genève certifies that a movement was assembled and regulated in the Canton of Geneva and meets rules on the finishing of each part, from bevelled edges to polished screw heads. A movement with the seal shows it engraved on a bridge. See also chronometer certification explained for how other certificates differ.

What Roger Dubuis costs

Our prices run from $3,100 to $354,200, with a median of $19,360. Pre-owned pieces start at $3,100. Early Sympathie and Hommage models are often the most accessible; skeleton tourbillons are at the top. Roger Dubuis watches usually sell well below retail when pre-owned.

What to check on a pre-owned Roger Dubuis

  • Skeleton movements. Every part is visible; look for scratches or dust under the crystal, which suggest poor servicing.
  • Rubber straps. Many Excaliburs use quick-change rubber straps; check the condition and the folding clasp.
  • Gold cases. Check hallmarks and look for dents on the lugs.
  • Papers and service. Complicated movements should be serviced by qualified watchmakers; see our pre-owned checklist.
