About Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin was founded in Geneva in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron and is the oldest watch manufacturer in continuous operation. With Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet it is one of the three houses collectors call the "holy trinity" of Swiss watchmaking.

Many of its movements carry the Hallmark of Geneva, a certification of origin and finishing given to movements made in the canton of Geneva. The Maltese cross in its logo is taken from a component of early watch movements.
