About Patek Philippe

Patek Philippe was founded in Geneva in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek; Adrien Philippe joined in 1845. The Stern family has owned the company since 1932, which makes it one of the last independent family-owned Geneva manufactures.

Patek is known for complications — perpetual calendars, minute repeaters, chronographs — and for its own quality standard, the Patek Philippe Seal, introduced in 2009.
