About Junghans

Junghans was founded in 1861 in Schramberg, in Germany's Black Forest, and grew into one of the largest clock makers in the world. It still makes watches there today.

Two things define the brand. The Max Bill collection, based on designs by the Bauhaus-trained architect and designer, with slim cases and pure dials. And radio-controlled timekeeping: in 1990 Junghans introduced the Mega, one of the first radio-controlled wristwatches.

Signature models

Max Bill
The Bauhaus classic: slim case, clean dial, in automatic, hand-wound, quartz and chronoscope versions.
Meister
Traditional dress watches and chronoscopes with domed crystals.
Form
A modern, minimalist collection at an accessible price.
1972 Chronoscope
A 1970s-inspired sports chronograph.

What to know before you buy

  • "Mega" or "radio-controlled" means the watch sets itself by radio signal where one is available; check the specifications for supported regions.
  • Max Bill watches have domed acrylic or sapphire crystals depending on the version; the listing states which.
