About Jaeger-LeCoultre

Antoine LeCoultre opened his workshop in Le Sentier, in the Vallée de Joux, in 1833. Jaeger-LeCoultre has made a very large number of its own movements, and has also supplied movements to other famous houses, which is why collectors call it the watchmaker's watchmaker.

Its most famous design is the Reverso of 1931, made for polo players: the case flips over in its frame to protect the dial, and the solid back can be engraved.
