Richard Mille is the youngest of the watch world's most expensive brands. Its curved tonneau cases, skeleton movements and racing-inspired materials made it a favourite of athletes and collectors in only two decades. We have 30 Richard Mille watches in stock, from $66,000 to $439,075, with a median of $193,160.
A short history
Richard Mille launched his brand in 2001 with the RM 001 tourbillon. His idea was to bring the engineering of Formula 1 and aerospace to watches: light materials, visible structures and movements built to survive real sport. Production takes place in the Swiss Jura, with movements developed together with specialist partners.
The brand made its name on the wrists of athletes. Rafael Nadal has played tennis matches wearing ultra-light Richard Mille tourbillons, and racing driver Felipe Massa gave his name to RM 011 editions.
Models you will see most
RM 011. A flyback chronograph with annual calendar in the classic tonneau case, one of the brand's most popular models. In stock: 3.
RM 035 and RM 027. Ultra-light watches linked to Rafael Nadal, in carbon composites.
RM 67. An extra-flat automatic, one of the thinnest and lightest Richard Milles, often chosen as an everyday model.
RM 005 and RM 010. Earlier automatic models, often the most accessible way into the brand pre-owned.
Ladies' models. Smaller tonneau cases, often gem-set and in ceramic or gold.
Materials
Richard Mille uses materials rarely seen in watchmaking: Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT, layered composites with a distinctive striped look; titanium; ceramics; and gold alloys. They make the watches light and very resistant, and they are one reason the cases look so different from traditional watches.
What Richard Mille costs
Our prices run from $66,000 to $439,075. Unworn pieces start at $157,210 and pre-owned at $66,000. Richard Mille makes relatively few watches each year, and many models sell above their original retail price on the secondary market. Prices depend heavily on the model, the material and whether it is a limited edition.

What to check on a pre-owned Richard Mille
- Box, papers and warranty card. At this price they are essential; see why box and papers matter.
- Case screws. The visible screws on the bezel should be undamaged and aligned; marks suggest the case has been opened by someone untrained.
- Strap. Most models are on rubber straps with special folding clasps; check that the original clasp is included.
- Service history. Ask when and where the watch was last serviced.
- Authenticity. Richard Mille is among the most copied brands. Every watch we sell is checked by our specialist before it ships; see how we inspect.
